Benchrest shooting, as the name implies, is a type of competition shot with a high precision rifle supported on one or two rests with the shooter seated behind a table which supports the rests. It has the advantage of being the most comfortable form of shooting and appeals to those who are perhaps not as agile as they were.
Don't think it's easy- the targets are tiny, the 10 ring even tinier, and leading scores very high.
At Tubslake we shoot at 25yds, use both .22 rifles and air rifles, and there are a number of classes and competitions depending on the type of rifle a shooter uses and we have all the club equipment needed for anyone who wants to give it a try.
